« Back to Stained Glass in GRACE CATHEDRAL, San Francisco CA
This window panel is a copy of the central panel of what may be the most beloved medieval glasswork, La Belle Verriere, located in chartres cathedral, France. This replica panel was made by G.Loire, whose shop was located there, and purchased by the Cathedral's bishop when he was visiting the studio. Its eye level, in a light-box, so it doesnt really sing or come alive, but the love of Chartres is there, for sure.
