detail, Quagliata's door

this is a detail taken from one of the door panels in a glasswork made by Narcissus Quagliata. It is located in the front Entrance of the Alice Art Center on Alice Street, a theater for dance and performances.

the work as a whole is notable for its use of fused Bullseye glass elements, made by cutting 1/8 th inch strips of glass, sandwiching them together on thier side, and fusing them together. this work also uses brass came, lead, and a pipe-blown roundel.
